Metric Units

Explain why we used metric in science class instead of English units. Find/list at least three things in your home or your neighborhood that has metric units.

We use the metric system in science class instead of the English because it's easy to use it and how the English units. Three things in my home that has metric units is how we have measuring cups, a scale but we put the settings as metric units, and a blender.

Estimating Distances

Estimate the length of the front of your house. Write a short procedure of how you estimate this distance. Explain if you think this estimate is reasonable or unreasonable and why.

I think the length of the fr My of my house is about a meter stick long.
Procedure- 1. I looked at the front of the house 2. Then I looked at a meter stick and it was about the same length.  I think this estimate reasonable because the sidewalk its pretty long.

Reaction Time

Describe what reaction time is and explain three examples of reaction time in in your own life.

Reaction time is the amount of time you react to something that happened. It includes both of the decision and the action you are going to make. First you must decide to act then you need to complete the action. Three reaction times in my life is when someone calls either on my phone or the house phone, when someone calls my name, and when I cross the street.
